Garage Becomes Office + Screened Porch

This family had an old garage on their property but what they needed was a home office, and they wanted a comfortable outside area to spend time together as a family. We converted the garage into a climate controlled home office using a ductless split system that heats and cools this space beautifully. We made sure that there is lots of light, both natural and overhead for a quality work environment. 

The family wanted a porch that was truly an extension of their home, fitting in with the home’s character and giving them more living space. We created coffered ceilings that are similar to the ceilings in the home, and added overhead fans to keep the space cool and comfortable. Then we transformed the yard by adding pavers and a grilling alcove to make the walk to work pleasant and the outdoor space more usable. 

Finally we added a little built-in for storage when entering the home from the outdoor space. This outdoor renovation has made their house a place where they are delighted to call home.
